Christmas Mug Hunt
On Sunday morning (21.12.25) we had two hours of great fun solving the riddles and finding the Christams mugs hidden around Chantry and Pinewood. We hid 7 mugs and we had 7 different winners!
Can you solve the clues?
The Halloween Trail is where we start
But which of the shops? And what part?
Not the hair-dressers or even the vet
Keep on looking you'll find me yet
The whistle's gone- the lessons ending
Weekdays at work-my time I am spending
I'm in my sleigh so very Yule
If you can't find me-then come to school
Tik Tok Tik Tok
I'm hanging around by the outside clock
180 degrees-mathematicians should guess
Half a mile from the school-maybe less
It’s on a tight turn on the edge of a road
Like a river perhaps geographically ox-bowed
But where do I hide-can’t you see?
I'm hidden away in the midst of a tree
Much bigger than us and much older
Become a tinker, a tailor, a sailor or soldier
Fabio and Wolfie, a future so bright
That's where they learnt to read and write
Rush to Chantry and don't be late
I'm hiding by a car park gate
The clues are tricky so use your brain
The car park opens onto Stone Lodge Lane
Chantry school is my host
Check out the foot of a car park post
Emily, Alicia, Dave and Sue
On Thursdays we see them, the lunchtime crew
But where do they come from-where are they based?
On the way to Asda-let's make haste
God is with me, come and greet us
I’m under the boat at St Peter's
Not a naturist but I can't spell
Lovely for a walk and plants grow well
Follow the track you definitely should
It eventually takes you to motorbike wood
Reeving on bikes, what a great lark
Im hidden away in Bobbits car park
I’d bring a spade if I could
Coz Im buried under the sign of wood
To find the next one requires a think
Careful now, you'll be in the drink
Behind the school, why not take a look
Its beautiful there down at Ellen-brook
Look carefully now you really should
I'm hiding by the bridge of wood
If you want to get me you ‘gonna’ get wet LOL
I’m hiding with the fairy-tale Troll
This game is great, the fun it has given
I have one more-it’s number seven…
You must be tired, you’ve been on your feet
So find a bench an animal seat
Walk down Quilter and then turn right
A couple of gates further for first sight
I live by the brook I’m a little bit rotten
An otter once new but now forgotten
Clear aways leaves if you want to win
and tickle me carefully under my chin
