Year 3 at Christchurch Mansion

What a fantastic day year 3 have had at Christchurch Mansion

We discovered a local artist, Blanche Vulliamy, she is well-known for her grotesque pottery. We worked together to complete puzzles of her art work and create our own grotesque piece.

We became art detectives and explored the mansion finding key pieces of art (paintings, pottery and furniture) to stamp in our booklet.

Our favourite part of the day was designing wallpaper. Here, we used different stencils, stamps, pens and pencils to create detailed wallpaper patterns.

We feel inspired to create new pieces of art from what we have learnt about and explored today.
