Mid year admissions

If you wish to apply for a place to Gusford for your child outside the normal round of admissions for a reception place then you follow the following procedure.

1) Contact Gusford office for an application form. Mrs Cutler deals with admissions and she wil be happy to speak to you about your application. We advise making an appointment to look around the school to see if Gusford suits your child.

** Please note if you are transferring from another local school with no address move, it is Suffolk and Gusford policy that transfer will not happen until the following half term. If you apply in the week before a half term or end of term holiday it counts as applying in the following half term. We strongly recommend talking to your child's current school about any problems rather than move your child as moving children from school to school can be detrimental.

2) Complete the application form and return it to the school. This will be processed by the school's admission panel within 10 working days. Mrs Cutler will inform you of whether your application has been successful.

3) If you are offered a place then we will ask you to come in for a visit with your child to talk through their strengths and needs. This allows us to place them in the right class and provide the best support for them.

If you have any questions about the admissions process then please speak to Mrs Cutler, Admissions Secretary at Gusford.
